The Office - Fire Drill Floor Plan
The infamous fire drill scene from season 5, episode 14 of The Office (US).
The visual below shows the distance traveled for each person. It is interesting to see who moved the most under intense pressure. For the three calculations below: "Time Elapsed" started when Dwight lit the trash can on fire, "Cost of Damages" are the estimated cost for new projector, window repair, new ceiling tiles, new vending machine, new copier, CPR class, and CPR dummy. The costs excludes Stanley's medical bill. The one serious injury was Stanley's heart attack.
Programs used:
- Excel was used for data collection and data mining
- R was used for automatically separating the actors with their line in the script and creating a 100x100 table to graph character's location
- Tableau was used to visualize and animate each character's location and movement
